New staff at EDC

December 1st, 2009. Six new people joined our team in the last months of 2009: since 1 September, Karel van de Veerdonk (1980) has coordinated the Finance & Control department. On 1 September Elles van Asseldonk (1987) started work as a Junior Project Manager, and Judith Koops (1954) started as Senior Communications Consultant. René Vetjes (1955) has been MedSimTechnology’s Managing Director since 1 October. From 15 September 2009, Marija Popovic (1974) has been our Manager of European Projects. Prior to this, Marija worked as a policy maker for the European Commission, DG Enterprises and Industry. From her Brussels office, she supervises projects such as the European How to Grow project, Innovation Festivals and is organising a European conference about the Creative Industry in Amsterdam in February.
Mr. Niek Hokken (1970) is to start at EDC on 1 January 2010 as the Manager of Innovation Projects, having worked as a Partner at PNO Consultants in recent years. Niek will coordinate our Dutch and European R&D projects for Medical Simulation, Serious Gaming, Creative Industry and ICT.
